Tianyang District of Baise City is located in the western part of Guangxi, in the middle of the Right River Valley, the urban area is more than 200 kilometres away from Nanning City, the capital of the autonomous region, and 38 kilometres away from Baise City. It is as far as Nanning in the east, Yunnan and Guizhou in the west, Debo and Jingxi in the south up to Vietnam, and Bama and Donglan in the north into Hechi City. With a total area of 2,394 square kilometres, it consists of three different types of areas: the rocky mountainous area in the south, the earthy mountainous area in the north, and the plains in the valley of the Right River. Tianyang district territory has plains, hills, mountains, three terrain, the middle of the low, high north-south, east-west narrow, north-south wide, known as ‘two mountains and a valley’. The highest peak of 1250.8 metres above sea level, the lowest elevation of 250 metres. The southern rocky mountainous area is karstic lava landscape, and the northern soil mountainous area is sand shale landscape. There are 12 large and small rivers in the whole area, and the Right River is the main river, flowing through 6 townships from west to east. The density of the river network is 0.13 km per square kilometre, and the annual runoff is 998.7 million cubic metres.
Tianyang District is located at a low latitude, close to the Tropic of Cancer, and has a southern subtropical monsoon climate. With warm winters and long summers, abundant light and heat, the average annual temperature is 18-22℃, and the heat meets the needs of three crops a year. The annual frost-free period is 307-352 days, and the average precipitation is 1,100-1,350 mm, which is the least precipitation in the region.
