Napo County is located in the southwestern part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It straddles longitude 105°31′ to 106°5′ east and latitude 22°55′ to 23°32′ north. It is connected with Jingxi County in the east and northeast, bordered by Cao Binh and Ha Giang provinces of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the south and southwest, and bordered by Funing County of Yunnan Province in the west and northwest. It starts from Zhaoyang Pass in Poho Township in the east and ends at Baiyun Mountain in Baidu Township in the west, with a straight-line distance of 38 kilometres in transverse width; in the south, it starts from Tangna Mountain in Binh Mon Township and ends at Cara Mountain in Chenggang Township in the north, with a straight-line distance of 67 kilometres in longitudinal length. The national boundary line is 206.5 kilometres long, is one of the longest counties in Guangxi land boundary line, governs 9 townships, the county land area of 2231.11 square kilometres.
The county seat, Chenggang Town, is 254 kilometres away from Baise City, 405 kilometres away from the capital city of Nanning, 700 kilometres away from Kunming City in Yunnan Province, and Binh Manh Port is 48 kilometres away from Cao Binh in Vietnam and more than 200 kilometres away from Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam.
Napo County is administratively under the jurisdiction of Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
