- Longlin Autonomous County is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi, at the junction of Dian, Qian and Gui provinces (regions), with 179 administrative villages (communities) in 16 townships (towns) under the jurisdiction of the county, covering a total area of 3,518 square kilometres, and five nationalities including Miao, Yi, Gelao, Zhuang and Han, with a total population of 439,000 people in the county, of which the minority populations accounted for 81.2%, making it one of the two autonomous counties for ethnic minorities in the country. It is one of the only two autonomous counties of ethnic minorities in China, and the only autonomous county of ethnic minorities in Baise.
Longlin has obvious location advantages. It is connected with Tianlin County in the east, Xilin County in the south, and Anlong County and Ceheng County in Guizhou Province in the north; G78 Expressway and 324 National Highway run through its territory, and it is the sub-centre city of West Gui.
