- Dahua Yao Autonomous County, established in October 1988, is located in the middle reaches of the Hongshui River in the northwestern part of the central Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and consists of the fringe combination of Du'an Yao Autonomous County, Bama Yao Autonomous County and Mashan County of Nanning at the time in the Hechi area. Dahua is about one and a half hours' drive from Nanning City, and the Dahua section of the Heba Expressway is fully open; the Hongshui River runs through the whole territory, and 500-ton cargo ships can navigate the whole route, which can reach the provinces of Yunnan and Guizhou upstream, and Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao downstream. The county covers an area of 2,750 square kilometers, with 160 villages (communities) in 12 townships and 4 towns under the jurisdiction of Dahua County, with a total population of 490,000 people. The characteristics of Dahua County can be summarized as “three places, four districts and six townships”.
“Three places": First, China's green food base, the county has been recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, ‘three products and one standard’ enterprises totaling 8, ‘three products and one standard’ of agricultural products up to 26, in June 2017 was named ‘three products and one standard’ of agricultural products. In June, the county was honored as “China's Green Ingredients Base”. Second, it is a national ecological food material demonstration base, with China Longevity and Health E-commerce City built to create a trading center for natural, ecological and healthy food materials in the Hongshui River Basin, and on October 19, 2018, it was awarded as “National Ecological Food Material Demonstration Base”. Thirdly, it is the best overall tourism and leisure destination in China, with Qibalang National Geopark, Dahua Chimei Water City Scenic Spot, Dahua Hongshui River Hundred Mile Gallery Scenic Spot, Dahua Yantan Tourist Scenic Spot being named as national 4A-level tourist scenic spots, and the former site of the Western Gui Command of the Yunnan-Guizhou-Guizhou Border Column, the Night Street Scenic Spot, and the Waterfront Corridor Bridge Scenic Spot being named national 3A-level tourist scenic spots; Dahan Town was named the “National Ecological Food Base”. Scenic spot; Dah Un town was named “China slow life leisure experience area”, was listed as the key construction of cultural tourism town in Guangxi; the county has 2 ecotourism demonstration areas in Guangxi, Guangxi 3-star or more rural tourism area 4, Guangxi 3-star or more Nongjiale 6, and a large number of tourist attractions (points), and a number of famous tourist stores, Gui cuisine store, Guangxi famous dishes, Guangxi famous snacks.
“Four districts": one is the old revolutionary district, where Deng Xiaoping, Zhang Yunyi and other revolutionaries of the old generation fought, and Major General Qin Guohan, the founding general of the Republic, emerged as the head of the 14th regiment during the Battle of Xiangjiang, Huang Cuochang, the excellent commander of the Red Army, and other heroes of the revolution; here is also the earliest party school in Hechi. -It is also the earliest party school in Hechi, where the Party School of Right River Local Committee of the CPC was founded. Secondly, it is an ethnic minority area, with Yao, Zhuang and other ethnic minorities accounting for 94.38% of the county's total population. The third is the Dashishan Mountain area, which is the focus of national rural revitalization, with the stone mountains accounting for 90.1% of the total area of the county. It is the former national key county for poverty alleviation and development and one of the four extremely poor counties in Guangxi, and has been included in the national rural revitalization key county for assistance. The fourth is the hydropower station reservoir area, Dahua is Yantan, Dahua, Bailongtan three major power station reservoir area, 13 of the county's 16 townships in the reservoir area, submerged arable land of about 100,000 acres, involving a population of 106,000 people, of which need to be resettled in the reservoir area immigrants 65,000 people.

Dahua's biggest advantage and brand is its beautiful scenery and ecology, and in June 2015, it was awarded the title of “Hometown of Longevity in China”. In 2024, the county's GDP was 8.949 billion yuan, up 8.5% over the previous year according to the constant price. The added value of primary industry is 1.497 billion yuan, an increase of 3% over the previous year; the added value of secondary industry is 2.52 billion yuan, an increase of 25.8%; the added value of tertiary industry is 4.933 billion yuan, an increase of 1.4%. Total retail sales of consumer goods increased by 3.7% over the previous year. Investment in fixed assets increased by 15.9% over the previous year. General public budget revenue of 594 million yuan, an increase of 3.76%; urban residents per capita disposable income of 31,935 yuan, a nominal increase of 4.9% over the previous year; rural residents per capita disposable income of 13,738 yuan, a nominal increase of 7.3% over the previous year.
