Baiyun District, Guiyang City is located in the Geographical Center of Guizhou Province and Guiyang City, and is known as the "Double Heart District" and the "Guizhou Center". The district is connected to Xiuwen County in the north, Wudang District in the east, Yunyan District in the southeast, and Guanshan Lake District in the west and south. It is the gateway to the northern part of Guiyang City. It was restored in 1973 and is one of the six central urban areas in Guiyang City. The total area of the district is 272 square kilometers, and it has 2 towns, 3 towns and 5 streets.

It is a "Guizhou Province National Reading Demonstration City" and is also the location of the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Youth Art Exchange Center. There are 9 cultural heritage protection units at all levels and 3 intangible cultural heritage projects at all levels, including Niuchang Penglai Local Opera and other intangible cultural heritage projects at all levels.
