The ancient name of Longchang was the place where the culture began. It was established in the 26th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi ( 1687 ), and the meaning of "stopping off military preparations and cultivating cultural education." In 1508 , Wang Yangming, a great scholar in the Ming Dynasty, realized the truth in Longchang (now the cultivation of literature), and established a system of learning that integrates mind and principles, knowledge and action, which opened the precedent of education in Guizhou. Xiuwen has an excellent location. Located in the geographical geometric center of Guizhou Province, an important node city of the Guizhou Economic Zone and the northern real economy industrial belt of Guiyang City.
