- 1. Overview of the city
Chishui City is located in the northwest of Guizhou, in the middle and lower reaches of the Chishui River Basin, adjacent to Sichuan and Chongqing. It is an important gateway to Sichuan and Chongqing in northern Guizhou and the largest river port in Guizhou Province. The city has an area of 1,852 square kilometers, and has 11 towns, 3 towns and 3 streets under its jurisdiction, with a total population of about 316,000. 2. History
Chishui has a long history and is deeply influenced by Bashu culture. It is an early area for Guizhou to develop. As far away as the Neolithic period, there were already human activities in the Chishui area. In the third year of Daguan in the Northern Song Dynasty (1109), Chishui was officially established. It was at that time belonged to Renhuai County, Zizhou, and the county town was in Fuxing Town, Chishui City. In the third year of Xuanhe in the Northern Song Dynasty (1121), Zizhou was abolished, Renhuai County was reduced to a fort, and renamed it to Hejiang County, Luzhou. In the second year of Duanping (1235), Renhuaibao was changed to the management of the Bozhou Xuanwei Office. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Ming Yuzhen established the "Xia Dynasty" in Chongqing, and changed Renhuai, Guci and other places to Huaiyang County. In the early years of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang destroyed Xia and Huaiyang County was abolished. His subordinates were returned to the jurisdiction of the Xuanwei Envoy of Bozhou. In the 14th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1381), Renhuai County was established, which was affiliated to the Zunyi Military and Civil Affairs Office in Sichuan Province. In the sixth year of Yongzheng (1728), Zunyi Prefecture was renamed Guizhou. In 1728, the ninth year of Yongzheng's reign, Renhuai County moved from Liuyuanba to the living area (now Renhuai City), and the original county was changed to the garrison of Zunyi Prefecture. In the third year of Qianlong (1738), after the Ministry of Personnel's consultation, the Renhuai County, Renhuai, Hexi and Tucheng, were assigned to the old city's magistrate and governor, also known as Zunyi Branch. In the 13th year of Qianlong's reign (1748), Zunyi Branch was changed to Zunyi Hall, also known as Renhuai Hall. In the 41st year of Qianlong's reign (1776), Zunyi Department was changed to Renhuai Zhili Department and was managed by Guizhou Grain Storage Road. In the 34th year of the Guangxu period (1908), the Chishui Hall was established, which was under the jurisdiction of Zunyi Prefecture. In 1914, the Chishui Department was abolished and Chishui County was established. In 1929, a group of Communist Party members led by Communist Party Liang Yeguang came to Chishui to engage in activities and established the early local party organization of the Communist Party of China in Guizhou Province - the Chihe Special Branch of the Communist Party of China. In January 1935, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army arrived in Chishui on the Long March, opening the prelude to the "Four Crossings of Chishui" campaign. On December 1, 1949, Chishui was liberated. In December 1990, Chishui County was abolished and Chishui City was established. In June 1997, Zunyi City was revoked and established by Zunyi City, and Chishui City was changed to provincial-level jurisdiction. Later, the People's Government of Guizhou Province entrusted Zunyi City to take charge of the administration.
3. Transportation location
Chishui City borders Xishui County, Guizhou in the southeast, and the northwest borders Gulin, Xuyong and Hejiang counties in Sichuan Province respectively. Chishui Waterfall Scenic Area: National AAAA-level tourist attraction, Chishui Danxia World Natural Heritage Core Scenic Area. Located in the upper reaches of Fengxi River in Lianghekou Town, 38 kilometers away from the city. It is composed of Chishui Waterfall and its surrounding Zhongdong Waterfall, Panlong Waterfall, Lianghekou Waterfall, Jifeiya Waterfall, etc. It is a natural waterfall park. Located in Yuanhou Town, Chishui City, 40 kilometers away from the city and 8 kilometers away from the Yuanhou Red Army Ferry of the "Four Crossings of Chishui", it is based on the Fo Guang Rock of "Danxia Cliff, the Wonder of the World" and the Wuzhu Peak of "The World is Made in Heaven and Earth, and the Magical Arts". Jurassic Park in China: the only natural ecological garden of the Jurassic Earth historic site in the world. Located in the Jinshagou Kuaifu National Nature Reserve in Hushi Town, 40 kilometers away from the city, close to Chixi Highway and next to Chishui River. It is located on the Long March of the Red Army, and is a transitional zone from the Guizhou Plateau to the Sichuan Basin. It is an altitude of 290 to 1,730 meters. Fuxing Ancient Town: Located in Fuxing Town, Chishui City, 12 kilometers away from the city.
