- Xishui County is located in northwestern Guizhou Province, is the hub of Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing combined zone, Zunyi connecting Chengdu-Chongqing bridgehead, the frontier window of Guizhou through the river to the sea, Guizhou Province to build one of the seven Qianbian economic zone, around the collection of China's liquor industry, half of the river. Three highways through the territory, greatly shortening the time and space distance with Chongqing, Chengdu and other major cities in southwest China, business flow, logistics, people flow is increasing day by day. The county covers an area of 3,128 square kilometres, with 26 townships (streets) under its jurisdiction and a total population of nearly 800,000 people. The county is known as ‘Oasis’ because of its ecological beauty and ‘Red City’ because of the Red Army's Long March across the Chishui River. In recent years, it has won the honours of National Agricultural Products Quality Safety County, National Grain Producing County, National Health County and National Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration County. In the evaluation of the ecological environment quality of counties in national key ecological function areas in 2021 organised by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Ministry of Finance, our county was rated as the only county in Guizhou province with better ecological environment protection management. At the same time, the provincial government office issued ‘on the province's’ improve style, pay close attention to the implementation of ‘annual inspection report’, our county ecological environmental protection management effectiveness is included in the province's only one ecological environment in the field of positive typical case notification commendation.
