The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Gansu Province is a constituent department of the provincial government. Its primary responsibilities include: formulating and implementing provincial industrial development plans and policy measures for sectors such as transportation logistics, power regulation, raw materials industry, equipment manufacturing, consumer goods industry, small and medium-sized enterprises, production-oriented services, promotion of industrialization and informatization integration, and electronic information and software services; overseeing economic operations, industrial cooperation, work safety, technological innovation, circular economy, and talent education and training within the industrial and information technology sectors; and managing radio communications across the province. The department comprises 20 internal functional divisions, along with a directly affiliated Party Committee and a Retired Cadres Office.
