Gansu Provincial Department of Veterans Affairs

  Implement policies and regulations issued by the Party Central Committee concerning the ideological and political work, management and support, and resettlement and preferential treatment of veterans, while honoring and highlighting their spirit of sacrifice and dedication to the Party, the nation, and the people. Responsible for the transfer and placement of military-to-civilian transitioning cadres, demobilized cadres, retired cadres, discharged soldiers, and non-military-status retired/retired employees; managing self-employment, monthly demobilization allowance, service management for self-employed veterans, and benefit guarantees. Organizes and guides education and training, preferential treatment and compensation, and assistance programs for veterans. It also organizes and guides province-wide efforts to support the military and honor military families, oversees honors and awards for martyrs and veterans, maintains military cemeteries, and organizes commemorative activities.
