Lanzhou Municipal Bureau of Veterans Affairs

The Lanzhou Municipal Bureau of Veterans Affairs, as a constituent department of the municipal government, is responsible for implementing the policies, directives, and decisions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government, and the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government concerning veterans' affairs. In discharging its duties, it upholds and strengthens the Party's centralised and unified leadership over veterans' affairs. Its responsibilities encompass ideological and political work, safeguarding rights and interests, transfer and resettlement, employment and entrepreneurship support, retirement services and management for military personnel, preferential treatment for military personnel and veterans, and commemoration and honouring. It also provides guidance on the development of the veterans' service and support system.
