Implement and enforce national policies and regulations on ideological and political work, management and support, and resettlement and preferential treatment for veterans; commend and highlight the spirit of sacrifice and dedication of veterans to the Party, the country, and the people; be responsible for the transfer and resettlement of military officers, demobilised officers, retired officers, and discharged soldiers, as well as the service and management of veterans who choose self-employment or employment; organise and conduct education and training, preferential treatment, and compensation for veterans; Organise and guide city-wide military support and preferential treatment work; be responsible for the honour and reward of martyrs and veterans, the maintenance of military cemeteries, and memorial activities; and complete other tasks assigned by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government.
