Bijie Municipal Bureau of Statistics

1. Implement and enforce the national and provincial policies, laws, regulations, and statistical reporting systems governing statistical work; formulate the city-wide plan for statistical modernisation, statistical survey plans, and survey schemes; establish the city-wide statistical methods, systems, statistical survey projects, and statistical reporting system; and establish and improve the national economic accounting system and statistical indicator system.

2. Organise and implement various statistical surveys and important national censuses; be responsible for the technical aspects of all censuses; compile and organise basic statistical data for the city; conduct statistical analysis, forecasting, and supervision of the national economy, scientific and technological progress, and social development; and provide statistical information and consulting recommendations to the Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, and relevant departments.

3. Manage city-wide socio-economic surveys, approve statistical survey plans and survey schemes of various departments, provide statistical legislation consultation and recommendations, and supervise and inspect the implementation of statistical laws and regulations; be responsible for statistical law enforcement and the investigation and handling of statistical violations and disciplinary cases.

4. Uniformly verify, manage, and publish basic statistical data for the entire city, and regularly release statistical information on the city's national economy and social development to the public.

5. Establish, improve, and manage the city's statistical information automation system and statistical database system, and standardise statistical database standards and statistical data networks in accordance with national and provincial requirements.

6. Manage the statistical affairs funds and special funds of county-level statistical administrative departments; assist in managing the directors and deputy directors of county-level (city, district) statistical bureaus; collaborate with relevant departments to organise and manage the city-wide statistical professional qualification examinations and job title evaluations and appointments.

7. Organise and guide statistical scientific research, statistical education, and staff training across the city; conduct statistical scientific exchanges and cooperation; and coordinate statistical consulting services for the city's socio-economic development.

8. Provide public opinion and social sentiment information services to government departments, enterprises, institutions, and social organisations.

9. Undertake other tasks assigned by the Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, and Provincial Bureau of Statistics.
