Qiandongnan Prefecture Public Security Bureau Functional Information

(1) Implement the policies, laws, regulations, and rules of the Party and the state regarding public security work; formulate public security work plans and organize their implementation; deploy, guide, supervise, and inspect public security work throughout the prefecture.


(2) Maintain social stability.


(3) Organize and guide public security organs throughout the prefecture in combating, investigating, and preventing various criminal activities.


(4) Be responsible for entry-exit management work.


(5) Guide, supervise, and coordinate fire safety and public security emergency rescue operations throughout the prefecture.


(6) Oversee road traffic safety management throughout the prefecture.


(7) Guide and supervise public security agencies in safeguarding the security of public information networks throughout the prefecture.


(8) Guide and supervise detention facility management by public security agencies throughout the prefecture.


(9) Guide and supervise drug control efforts by public security agencies throughout the prefecture.


(10) Guide and supervise the implementation of police support standards and systems by public security organs throughout the prefecture.


(11) Implement policies and guidelines for public security team building, formulate plans and specific measures for personnel training, education, publicity, preferential treatment, and commendation for public security organs throughout the prefecture; manage institutional staffing, police ranks, and personnel affairs within prescribed authority; draft and implement supervision and management systems for public security teams throughout the prefecture, and organize and guide supervision work by public security organs throughout the prefecture.


(12) Lead the public security business work of forestry and other departments across the prefecture.


(13) Undertake other statutory responsibilities.


(14) Handle other matters assigned by the prefectural people's government and the provincial public security bureau.
