Qianxinan Prefecture Bureau of Statistics

The Qianxinan Prefecture Bureau of Statistics implements the policies, decisions, and directives of the Central Committee, Provincial Party Committee, and Prefectural Party Committee regarding statistical work. In fulfilling its duties, it upholds and strengthens the Party's centralized and unified leadership over statistical affairs. Its primary responsibilities are:

(1) Implementing national and provincial statistical policies, laws, regulations, statistical standards, methodologies, and reporting systems; organizing and guiding statistical work and national economic accounting across all counties (cities) and departments within the prefecture.

(2) Collect, organize, and provide basic statistical data for the entire prefecture; conduct statistical analysis, evaluation, forecasting, and monitoring of the national economy, social development, and scientific and technological progress; and provide statistical consulting services to the Prefectural Party Committee, Prefectural Government, and relevant departments.

(3) Uniformly calculate, manage, and publish basic statistical data for the entire prefecture; regularly release statistical bulletins on the national economy and social development of the prefecture.

(4) Organize and implement major national censuses on national conditions and capabilities in accordance with unified national regulations; coordinate socioeconomic surveys across counties (cities) and departments; review statistical survey plans and protocols submitted by counties (cities) and departments; manage statistical reporting throughout the prefecture.

(5) Establish, improve, and manage the prefecture-wide automated statistical information system and statistical database; coordinate and oversee the statistical database network across the prefecture.

(6) Implement national and provincial statistical reform plans; formulate implementation measures based on local conditions and organize their execution.

(7) Legally assist in managing directors and deputy directors of county (city) statistics bureaus; coordinate with relevant departments to organize and manage professional qualification examinations for statistics personnel across the prefecture.

(8) Organize and guide statistical research, education, and training for statistics personnel throughout the prefecture.

(9) Conduct exchanges and cooperation in statistical work and statistical science.

(10) Assume the responsibilities of the Prefectural Leading Group Office for Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Respects. Organize and guide the creation of a moderately prosperous society throughout the prefecture; conduct statistical monitoring of the comprehensive well-off society at the county level and modern statistical monitoring for consolidating and enhancing counties that have achieved the standards for building a moderately prosperous society; carry out relevant tasks related to economically strong counties.

(11) In accordance with the department's responsibilities, advance work related to military-civilian integration, poverty alleviation and development, and the “streamlining administration, delegating power, and improving government services” reform; Increase investment in science and technology to enhance innovation capabilities, providing support for innovation-driven development; oversee workplace safety and fire prevention within the department and its industry sectors; manage big data development, application, and government data resources in accordance with regulations, promoting standardized management, sharing, and open access to departmental government data resources.

(12) Complete other tasks assigned by the Prefectural Party Committee, Prefectural Government, and Provincial Bureau of Statistics.
